happy halloween

This is only the second Halloween, out of four, that Adam and I have been together, so we were very excited about all the festivities.  We bought our pumpkins at the local grocery store where they charged by the pound, so of course Adam had to try and find the biggest pumpkin he could!  I think his pumpkin weighed in at 38 pounds!  I think he liked knowing that they would weigh his pumpkin so he really knew how big it was.  The friday before Halloween, we went to work on our pumpkins.
You can kind of see our kitchen in these pictures.  I will post pictures of our apartment soon!
Look at his tongue :) Concentration!

I cleaned the seeds off and roasted them in the oven, just like my mom used to do :) They were delicious.

Adam LOVES Halloween! He wanted to buy a black light for our porch light, but we didn't get around to it.  I have a feeling that once we have a house, it will be all decked out when Halloween rolls around!
I always love the classic Jack-O-Lantern face and Adam always makes a scary one; they make for a good team I think.
We got home from work and our two little neighbors were walking up the stairs to our apartment.  I jumped out of the car and ran up to greet our first trick-or-treaters!  Then we waited for a while with no visitors, so Adam decided to put on some spooky music through the window to lure trick-or-treaters to our house :) Unfortunately, we only had our two neighbors come to our house, even with Adam's excellent effort. Maybe next year!
Hope everyone had a happy and spooky Halloween!  Have a warm wednesday and think of us because we have snow and it is 7 degrees outside!!!  What are we getting ourselves into?!?!
