our first visitors :)

After being in Montana about a month, exploring by ourselves, we FINALLY got our first visitors!  Mrs. Groves, her brother Paul and sister-in-law Kathy, all packed up in good ole Daloris the Taurus to drive her out here to me!  Mrs. Groves didn't want me driving my car all they way out here by myself and volunteered to drive it out for me. The three musketeers spent about six days exploring the west before they arrived in Bozeman.  I was excited to have family visit, but was not aware of truly how happy it would make me to show off our new home and see familiar faces.  I have not been home sick since.  Thank you Mrs. Groves, Uncle Paul and Aunt Kathy for reminding me why we are here and the importance of family.  The next day we headed out to Yellowstone to explore new sights and had such a wonderful time looking for wild life, oohing and aahing at the beauty of the park, and spending time catching up, smiling and laughing.  It was a wonderful day to experience together with my new family.
Our fist elk sighting; right when we entered the park.

Hey Uncle Paul!  We were amazed by this heard of bison in the background.  It was extraordinary!
Our only picture of the whole group, but quite the view!

Oh hey bison, just hanging out on the side of the road!!
Our fist stop was Old Faithful.  When we got there we had to wait about an hour until it blew, but it turned out perfectly.  We were lucky enough to have a picnic lunch sitting right next to Old Faithful!  I made a bunch of food and yes Spark, Barbie and Trentie, they all survived and actually liked everything :).  So here is my mountain man unpacking our lunch.

AMAZING!!!
Yellowstone Lake
This lake was so picturesque!  We drove next to it for about an hour.  The views just kept getting better and better!  It was so fun to all be in the car together, see a new view and all gasp and  say, "pull over Adam!!" so we could, again, take in beauty around us!

Mrs. Groves LOVING Yellowstone!

Boiling water boils up from the ground all over the place.  It is one of three place in the world that has this kind of geothermal activity!  Adam thinks it should be one of the wonders of the world.

Yep!  That's and elk walking in front of Freebird!
It was a girl elk and Adam called her a cow.  I know that is what she is, but I don't stoop that low.  Here is a funny story since we have been out here.  Last week Adam and I went to a ski sale and I was trying on ski boots. A man was helping us and Adam told him I have big calves.  The man corrected him and said, "We don't say that around here, we say athletic calves!".  Again, how could Adam stoop so low!
my FAVORITE!!

Adam, "Ducks!!  I am pulling over to take their picture!!"
The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone

At this point we all thought we had finally found the "yellow stone"!
Can't you just see happiness ALL OVER his face!

Here is a big daddy (far right) watching over all his ladies.
As we were leaving, we drove through another small group of elk crossing the road!!  This guy was bugling, so Adam rolled down his window to try and bugle also.  Oh Lord!!

We had such a wonderful time, I feel like I am at a loss for words trying to describe our time together.  While we were all riding together in the car driving through Yellowstone I kept getting an indescribable happy feeling in my heart thinking about my future.  I felt like it was a reminder to me why I wanted to marry Adam in the first place.  He always opens my eyes to the natural beauty around us.  I can only hope we will have many, many years ahead of us to continue exploring and sharing unforgettable memories with family and friends.  So PLEASE!!  Come visit us and I promise, you will have the time of your life!!
